You and I
You are wind,
And I am but a dust:
In the air,
We waltz;
On spheres,
We roll.
You are flame,
And I am but a wick:
In orange,
We spark;
In blue,
We light and burn ‘til weak.
You are mountain,
And I am but a cloud:
We make love
In the rain;
We conquer drought,
The aches and pains.
You and I–
We are but
Crown-less,
Robe-less king and queen
In this love-full ‘dom underneath
The white, crisp secret-filled linen sheet.

Thank you! But honestly, it’s not close to your Be My Valentine! I so love this poem https://writingtofreedom.com/2019/02/14/be-my-valentine/

Thank you for the kind words. We each have our own voice. Your poems are wonderful and an expression of you. I often compare (negatively) my writing to other people as well. May we both learn to embrace and enjoy our own unique writing styles. Hugs.
