How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?
In general, by default,
we have a thing called instinct,
which often leads us to appropriate responses,
serving as our compass.
However, in the event that it wouldn’t work,
the most sensible response
is to distant ourselves (and consider others too)
from harm or danger.
Finally, in matters of life and death,
of course, we choose life.
But in the event of brain death,
To avoid continued suffering,
We pull the plug,
And allow dignified death
To take its course.
Must be a difficult situation in which to find ourselves. However, what good a life without consciousness?

Thank you for the insight Carolyn! My stance on the matter after watching many documentary films featuring people in hospice and hospital likewise, those that are in coma. You’re right. Thanks again!
