Cheer up down spirit

Tomorrow never fails.

Love

What is one word that describes you?

I am always in love with love.

I can take mockery and insult;

But not doubt.

My blog can speak of my heart

And the depth of love in me.

Hate weighs down a soul;

Drags the spirit to the bottom core.

Love liberates all hearts.

Hate

I am too, too small

To carry such tons of weight

Of trash; rubbish mate

Neither you, nor them

Deserves such a burden to take

‘T weighs down a soul;

Consumes one’s spirit to the bone,

Hate is always wrong.

Love liberates all

I Do the Opposite

What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

I jar my emotions.

I say a little prayer.

I turn to the opposite, the positive—

And let the goodness in me rule—

For that goodness is God,

Guiding me to the way of the righteous.

Who Knows, I’d Be On Your Side

@ Lake Tahoe

Bustling blooms and hues

On dewy hills in blue, red,

And yellow—hello spring!

. . . Bidding bye to snow;

Sending winter a warm farewell:

Plush, flannel, plus loafers.

But I’ll surely miss the s’mores

And the hot chocolate too—

Those really consoling consolation—I do.

But then, bye winter, bye!

See ya in December, aight.

Next time get it right.

These Seeds

The seed of resilience:
Everyone has a cross to carry.
Everyone has inner strength yet to discover.
Even challenges are subject to time–
So those too will pass.

The seed of kindness:
None is needless,
None is undeserving.
It’s a superspreader

Of bliss and goodwill.

The seed of thankfulness:
Each breath is a blessing,
Each day is a delight.
A grateful heart
Is always filled with happiness and humility.

The seed of joy;
Nothing is irrelevant if it makes you smile;
Nothing too minuscule if it lifts your spirit.
Often spontaneous,
But a deliberate act brings meaning.

The seed of caring:
Everyone appreciates a tap, a touch; for
Everyone appreciates empathy.
Too akin to love,
Care is a human legacy.

Sow them.
Nurture them.
Rear them.
Cherish them–
And your soul and being will flourish

With these seeds ’til the end.

Count Me Not

Are you superstitious?

I believe everyone is gifted with a simple yet handy thing called common sense.

Please use it to your greatest advantage.

Too Perfect

As the symphony of gentle winds

conducts in every crispy morning of spring;

A bed of tulips and roses

in colors of rainbow,

is waltzing with me.

As the ballad of swell

plays in one tepid noon of summer,

a rush of ripples in calmest tides,

are smooching my toes and smothering my heels–

too teased–I’m blushing—I can’t deny!

The whispering lullabies of falling leaves

in all of falls

putting me to sleep

and watching me in peace

from dusk to dawn.

The medley of carols

playing merry and gay

while the fireplace’s flames

mesmerize, bringing nostalgia

in all of winter’s coldest nights .

And you, parked at the Aloha Tower,

Coming out from a white Range Rover,

Wearing denim jeans and blue aloha shirt,

smiling, holding a single pink rose

and a dark chocolate bar.

Such an epitome of a wish–

too perfect

for the quite

imperfect

me.
