Do You Know

Scribbling with my thoughts;

I’m letting you read my mind—

What is the headline?

Writing True

When We Love So Deeply

You’re exposing your vulnerability to another human being.

You do it with no remorse and willingly.

You would set aside all the questions in your head—because you’re taking all the chances

with that person.

Right or wrong, your heart would find a way to make it right,

Like as if you’re under a spell,

Without realizing that all of it,

Loving and sacrificing—

You’re doing it all so consciously

Like a damn martyr.

Better yet, love a little bit,

Just enough to feel human warmth;

Just to be human.

Save the “deep” for the Omnipotent,

Or your country.

And spare your heart from aches and pains—

Your sanity from insanity.

Therefore,

Save some for yourself.

Love a little bit less,

And save some for yourself.

Writing True

Munching on dark chocolate—

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

It brightens my world.

It starts when I see one,

My eyes twinkle, twinkle

More than the stars do.

I unwrapped with care

As if I’m unwrapping something—

The only something—

I so wanted in life.

And in every bite is grace—

a bliss—

Inevitably,

I smile—

I smile as big as the crescent moon;

Because life is so worthwhile.

It Depends

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

In general, by default,

we have a thing called instinct,

which often leads us to appropriate responses,

serving as our compass.

However, in the event that it wouldn’t work,

the most sensible response

is to distant ourselves (and consider others too)

from harm or danger.

Finally, in matters of life and death,

of course, we choose life.

But in the event of brain death,

To avoid continued suffering,

We pull the plug,

And allow dignified death

To take its course.

Writing True

Kindred Soul

What quality do you value most in a friend?

Extra pair of eyes,

Extra pair of ears,

Extra pair of hands

And feet—

Those are too nice;

But too much to impose

Even to expect.

So to just find

A kindred soul

Who enjoys your company,

Is enough.

As friends are always gifts

From up above.

For Nature’ Sake

Courtesy of Google Images (subject to fair use)

I scattered your fragmented memories to the sea;

But billowing waves returned them back to me.

I buried them deep in the sands;

But rushing ripples took them away;

Only for the billowing waves to return them to me

And so for nature’s sake, I’m keeping them back. . .

Entrusting the taking and healing

to time and destiny.

Be understanding.
