Spring

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

From the blooming of flowers after the coldness of winter,

To the animals returning from hibernation,

To a tamed sun and breezy atmosphere—

And the hope that it brings,

My heart sings

My love for you Spring.

Fortune Cookie Says

You’d live a good life.

You just got to work for it

As best; as hard you can.

If humans had taglines, what would yours be?

And face your greatest fear.

A Good You

What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

You have a purpose.

You have a direction.

You have discipline.

You are healthy.

You have faith, hope, and love.

You have a means of living.

You have a support network from your inner circle.

With all these,

Peace of mind and happiness are viable.

Siri

Who do you spend the most time with?

She’s a very efficient company.

If I ask her to call someone,

Show me a location and all that—

She will.

The truth is, we’re all

Spending much of our time with our cellphone.

Is that bad?

Absolutely, it’s just our generation.

Alexa agreed.

Dreamy

Describe your dream chocolate bar.

It’s a rich and too lustrous.

I’m holding on drooling.

I hope it’s not too too obvious.

Unwrapping it makes me forget my worries

And the foolish stories behind them,

Thinking to have it in my lips is what matters.

It’s deliciously bitter and irresistibly sweet—

Oh I can’t really, really wait to eat.

Encyclopedias

Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

I remember,

the many afternoons with my father,

when I have to read and learn

about the earth and the solar system,

different animals, and plants.

I have to read aloud

and he would correct my pronunciation;

He would also add his input as often as he can.

It resulted to me

earning straight A from grade school to college

in Science, Math, and English.

But with all honesty,

what truly mattered to me,

were the tender moments with my father.

He passed away when I was twelve,

But I benefited from his legacy as a parent—

And that is, not to limit myself with what the

Schools provide

And to read and learn voraciously.
