A Spring Affair

A singing robin perched at my window pane,

A wandering other just came;

And then it happened. . . them

So I closed the curtains to honor their privacy—

Although their acts are too vulgar for me.

But it’s spring.

They’re alive;

Their vulgarity is justified.

Shh! Keep it a secret!

Be nice.
